Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30208)

This course forms part of the Construction, Plumbing & Services Integrated Framework Training Package, and is for people working in the Carpentry trade are. Students will learn how to efficiently produce quality work in the building and construction industry. While the course is primarily aimed at the residential sector of the industry it can be customised to address specific skill requirements of most building and construction or allied enterprises. The course also includes skills required by the renovation and maintenance sectors of the industry. Elective modules allow students to choose subjects to suit individual needs and industry trends.

Major areas of study include interpretation of plans, measurements and calculations, use of power tools and equipment, installing flooring and constructing timber external stairs etc.

The Certificate III in Carpentry is a trade level qualification

Careers for graduates include working as a self-employed contractor, a carpenty company employee or being employed as a sales representative in the building or retail industry.

This program is delivered in Silver Trowel’s specially designed facilities, where an emphasis is placed on providing hands-on, practical training wherever possible.

Customisation

Core competency units cannot be substituted. However, a maximum of one elective may be substituted by selecting a relevant competency unit from another qualification within the Construction, Plumbing & Services Integrated Framework Training Package or from another endorsed Training Package.
