This intensive two week training program provides students with the knoweledge and skills to get a firm footing within the building and construction industry. The course covers a range of essential topics as:

• An Introduction to Occupational Health & Safety
• Identifying bricklaying tools and their uses
• Mixing and applying mortar
• Identification of various bonds
• Setting out
• Learning the standard coursing guage

During the two week course students will complete the following bricklaying projects:

• Stretcher bond wall using standards and concrete masonary
• Cavity wall using both standards and maxi blocks
• Corner with stopped end
• Internal corner return in stretcher bond with stopped ends
• Hit and miss panel in stretcher bond
• 350 x 230mm isolated pier in stretcher bond
