Enrolling at Silver Trowel
ACCESS Course:
This pre-apprenticeship course is specifically targeted towards those students wishing to enter the building and construction industry via an apprenticeship. The course comprises of four weeks on-site training and a week of work experience.
The course offers students an opportunity to gain basic skills and knowledge in a variety of subjects such as bricklaying, solid plastering, wall and floor tiling and wall and ceiling lining. After completing the course, Silver Trowel offer apprenticeship placement assistance to willing candidates who qualify.
Funded by the Australian Government, students receive a Statement of Attainment for any Units of Competency completed.

CAT Course:
Also available to those interested in entering the building and construction industry is the Certificate I CAT course. These are 5 week courses that offer students exposure to bricklaying, solid plastering and wall/floor tiling.
These courses offer a Certificate I in General Construction to students who successfully complete all Units of Competency.
