Enrolling at Silver Trowel
ACCESS Course:
This course is specifically geared to try and gain apprenticeships for the students. It is 5 weeks which composes 4 weeks of on-site training with 1 week of relevant work experience.
The training offers students the chance to learn in areas such as bricklaying, solid plastering and wall/floor tiling.
After the week work experience, we try to ascertain whether the employer is willing to take the student on as an apprentice. These courses are funded by the Australian Government. Students receive a Statement of Attainment for any Units of Competency completed.
This course is mainly for students who have an idea as to which trade they wish to pursue, but would like to have a taste of all of them.
Students must be referred to be enrolled in the ACCESS course.
There are a number of different ways a student can be referred in order to be enrolled. Please call 08 9453 0752 for more information.
CAT Course:
The other course that we offer is called our Certificate I CAT course. These are 5 week courses which offer students exposure to bricklaying, solid plastering and wall/floor tiling.
These courses offer a Certificate I in General Construction to students who successfully complete all Units of Competency.
