Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

The TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment replaces the old Certificate IV (BSZ40198) as the new formal qualification for those wishing to work as a trainer/assessor at: private training organisations, a range of various industry contexts or as independent contractors delivering/assessing nationally recognised vocational education throughout Australia. This course became endorsed in November 2004 and is now mandatory for any individual who wishes to work for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) as a trainer or assessor and does not hold the BSZ40198.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Delivery and assessment for the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment may include: Formal classroom training, workplace training, flexible delivery, self paced delivery (correspondence), RPL, or remote delivery depending upon participant circumstances and needs and the availability of resources to deliver in a particular manner.

At any time you may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning/Recognition of Current Competency. You may change between RPL and the course at anytime and can also choose an assessment-only pathway.
