Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying (CPC30111)

The Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying provides students with necessary skills, knowledge and experience to work on a building site in the areas of bricklaying and blocklaying. Students will learn how to lay and bond bricks and similar building blocks and how to construct decorative panels, feature walls, arches and columns. Students will learn how to lay bricks for domestic, commercial and public buildings. Students will also learn how to prepare and maintain brickwork.

Major areas of study include interpretation of plans, measurements and calculations, use of power tools and equipment, surface preparation, different types of construction, leveling and paving.

The Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying is a trade level qualification

Careers for graduates include working as a self-employed contractor, a bricklaying company employee or being employed as a sales representative in the brick manufacturing or retail industry.

This program is delivered in Silver Trowel’s specially designed facilities, where an emphasis is placed on providing hands-on, practical training wherever possible.
